'Tis the season for grilling, and we don't think there's a much better way to wash down those burgers than with a glass of rosé.
While rosé is much lighter in color than its red cousin, that doesn't mean the wine doesn't pack a punch. It's made from red varietals, such as syrah and pinot noir. The grapes' skins are briefly in contact with the juice—anywhere from a few hours to a few days—resulting in a pink hue. Rosés are often able to stand up to full-flavored dishes, including grilled food. Plus, they're best served chilled, which makes them ideal for outdoor sipping when the mercury soars.
There are plenty of delicious bottles to be had for $20 and under. Time to think pink and look for one of these at your local wine store.
